Nancy (Locke) Capers worked in the film and television industry for nearly two decades as an actress,
published writer, produced screenwriter, theater director, producer and Artistic Director of two theater companies. She has
also written a number of screenplays, including an independently produced film, co-written an original screenplay that was optioned by Paramount Pictures. She
decided to pursue a career in psychology in mid-life, as well as working as a corporate consultant, both domestically and
abroad.

LICENSURE: I earned a License as a Marriage and Family Therapist
from the California Board of Behavioral Sciences in 2004 as well as holding numerous certificates in domestic violence training,
step-family counseling, Process Therapy Model, substance abuse, along with working with anxiety and depression. INVITED PRESENTATIONS:
wrote paper on "The Application of Rawlsian Theory to Psychotherapy" *Fordham University for the Journal of Moral
Education, with Dr. Albert Erdynast, *Harvard Medical School Conference.
Ms. Capers was MC
for the National Charity League yearly event (2005).
EDUCATION: I completed the majority of my graduate work for
a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology at Antioch University in Los Angeles, finishing a few credits at National University,
San Diego, after relocating to San Diego.
My background includes working with the Navy Fleet and Family Support
Center, the YWCA Domestic Violence Counseling Center, facilitating improvisational/psychodrama classes with at-risk adolescents
at Children of the Night in Los Angeles, as well as working in private practice.
